Know what
you’re reading.
Original fiction. Named sources. A clear distinction between a podcast’s teaching and our recovery reflections.
What the stories are
Our stories are original, AI-assisted fiction. Their characters, dialogue, and events are invented; they are not personal testimonies, podcast transcripts, or stories told by Joby Martin. Generated illustrations are labeled as artwork.
The purpose is reflection and encouragement. A fictional outcome is not evidence that a particular recovery method will work for you.
How we use the podcast
Every story names and links its source episode. We separate the source theme from the fictional recovery application and preserve the episode’s original title and air date.
The current eight-story archive was developed from published episode descriptions, rather than full audio or transcripts. The source note in each story makes that limitation explicit. We do not invent podcast quotations or claim full-episode review.
For future stories, we seek the episode or an authorized transcript when available. If only a description is available, we keep the reflection within that source and disclose the limitation. A broader claim needs a source that supports it.
Who does what
Chris created the project and directs its purpose and presentation. AI assists with research, drafting, artwork, and site development. Publication is not a claim of individual human fact-checking, clinical review, or pastoral approval.
When a named person reviews a particular piece, we can credit that specific contribution accurately. We do not invent reviewers, qualifications, or endorsements.
Practical guides
Our practical guides are separate from the fictional stories. They use linked primary organization sources for meeting and support information, name the date checked, and distinguish confirmed local directories from unverified program details. AI assists with preparation and source checking; this is not clinical review. We avoid diagnosing readers or prescribing treatment.
Explore the guidesDates and updates
An episode’s air date is different from a story’s publication date. We display both separately. The archive covers episodes from July 20 through September 7, 2026; these stories were published on this site on September 9, 2026.
We record meaningful changes rather than changing dates simply to make older content appear new. New episodes are checked on Monday evenings; publication depends on an adequate source and a complete story.
Recovery resources
We link to official meeting directories and information providers rather than presenting copied schedules as current. Check the organizer’s details before attending. We do not run the meetings or provide counseling, diagnosis, or treatment.
Christian faith is part of this project’s perspective. It is not a substitute for professional care, and readers are welcome to explore peer support and professional help together. Stories involving families do not require forgiveness, reconciliation, or giving up boundaries.

Report a source error, broken link, accessibility issue, or artwork concern to deepenyoursobriety@gmail.com. Please include the page URL and a supporting source where possible. We review reported concerns and correct supported errors.
Deepen Your Sobriety is independent of Joby Martin, The Church of Eleven22, and the organizations listed in its resources. Links and artwork do not imply endorsement.

Scripture reflections: context before application
Our Scripture reflections are original, AI-assisted Christian commentary, separate from podcast-inspired fiction. Each links to the wider Bible passage, identifies the translation, and distinguishes the passage’s setting from our application to recovery and support. Quotations use the public-domain World English Bible.
We do not attribute these interpretations to Joby Martin or Eleven22, present them as Chris’s personal testimony, or claim pastoral or clinical review. Prayer and Scripture are invitations alongside practical support; they are not promises of a cure or tests of someone’s faith. Readers are welcome to send a different reading or a correction.
